1. Introduction

Captora AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Captora AI platform, an AI-powered social media content generator. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. By using Captora AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Account data: Email address, display name, and profile photo when you register.
• Generated content: Text prompts and AI-generated posts stored in your history.
• Usage data: Content generation counts, plan tier, and session metadata.
• Payment data: Transaction IDs from our payment processor (Razorpay). We do not store full card numbers.
• Social account tokens: OAuth access tokens for platforms you connect (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.). Tokens are encrypted and stored server-side.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Captora AI service.
• To enforce usage quotas and subscription limits.
• To send transactional emails (account creation, quota warnings, team invites).
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam, or illegal content generation.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase) and governed by Google's security practices. We use Firebase Authentication for identity management. OAuth tokens for connected social accounts are stored in a protected Firestore subcollection and are never exposed to the client. All API communication is over HTTPS.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. If you delete your account, all associated data including generated content, connected accounts, and usage history will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data via Settings → Profile.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
• Portability: Export your generated post history from Settings → History.
• Objection: Object to processing for direct marketing purposes.

7. Cookies

Captora AI uses Firebase Authentication which may use session cookies to maintain login state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If you enable analytics, anonymous usage data is collected. You may disable analytics cookies at any time from the cookie banner.

8. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase: Authentication and database. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Google Grok AI: Prompts are sent to Grok AI to generate content. Do not include personal information in your prompts.
• Razorpay: Payment processing. See Razorpay Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
